Safe Spaces Require Clear Leadership

PolySoCal events are held with care, intention, and structure. To protect the integrity and emotional safety of the space, event hosts and designated facilitators have final authority during any gathering.
What This Means:
- Hosts May Intervene at Any Time: If a host observes behavior that feels unsafe, disruptive, or out of alignment with community values, they may step in immediately—without needing consensus from the group.
- Redirection or Removal: Hosts have the authority to redirect conversations, pause interactions, or ask individuals to step away or leave the event if necessary for group wellbeing.
- No Debate in the Moment: While we honor transparency and feedback, decisions made by facilitators during events are not up for discussion in real time. Group safety takes priority.
Why It Matters:
- Hosts carry the responsibility of holding space for everyone’s safety, not just individual experiences.
- Decisions are made with calm, care, and clarity—not ego or judgment.
- This policy is not about control—it’s about protecting a rare environment of trust, respect, and shared vulnerability.
After the Moment:
If a decision affects you, we welcome respectful follow-up conversations after the event. We value community dialogue—and we’re always open to learning and growing. But in the moment, trust the hosts to act in the best interest of the collective.
